People are just realizing their Wi-Fi speed is instantly faster when they turn off hidden phone feature

Weak connections and interference are just the beginning

Wi-Fi connection dropouts can be a major annoyance for smartphone users. There are various reasons why your signal might be dropping out - from a weak connection to interference from objects like microwaves and fish tanks. However, there's another hidden culprit: auto-switching between multiple Wi-Fi networks.

The auto-switching chaos

If you have multiple Wi-Fi networks saved on your iPhone or Android device, this can lead to auto-switching chaos. Your device may constantly jump between the available networks, especially if one has a weaker signal. The constant jumping between connections can give you the impression that your Wi-Fi is slow, when in reality it's just struggling to stay connected.

Stop the chaos, boost your speed

If you're tired of dealing with slow Wi-Fi speeds, there's a simple solution - stop the auto-joining. By disabling the auto-join feature on one or both of the networks, you can significantly improve your Wi-Fi speed. Here's how:

On iPhone:

1. Go to Settings.

3. Tap the i button next to the Wi-Fi network you wish to stop auto-joining.

4. Look for the Auto-Join option and switch it off.

On Android:

1. Open Settings.

2. Tap Network & internet.

3. Tap Wi-Fi.

4. Tap the cog icon next to the Wi-Fi network you wish to stop auto-joining.

5. Look for the Auto-connect option and switch it off.

By following these simple steps, you can take control of your Wi-Fi connection and enjoy faster speeds without any interruptions.
