Enhanced Navigation System for a More Enjoyable Viewing Experience

LG TVs popular app, Channels, is undergoing improvements that will offer Brits a more streamlined viewing experience via LG Channels 3.0. The manufacturer has announced that the new navigation system will provide "more engaging placements for content discovery and an enhanced channel guide," helping users to discover content that resonates with them.

Streamlined Features

The upgrade means users won't have to switch between different apps while browsing for entertainment. The new version of LG Channels will have three sections: Home, Live, and On Demand. The Home tab will offer a selection of featured channels, collections curated by the user, and premium on-demand streaming. The Live section will allow users to directly play channels from the app. The On Demand section will feature a collection of movies and TV shows, categorized under sections such as "Popular Now".

Improved Guide

In addition to the streamlined features, the new and improved guide will now only take up half the screen, ensuring that users don't have to miss out on what they're currently watching in order to choose something else.

Coming to the UK in October

The upgrade is set to hit TVs in South Korea this month, followed by the UK and US in October. While most users will find LG Channels 3.0 on their LG Smart TVs, an app for iOS and Android will also be available. Currently, the service is accessible in 30 countries, but LG plans to expand this to more regions.
