iPhone 15 owners plagued by ‘crackle’ sound issue, adding to the phone’s list of problems

Owners of the newly launched iPhone 15 are once again facing disappointment, this time due to a problem with the phone’s speakers.

Apple enthusiasts who splurged between £799 and £1,199 for the latest device have voiced their complaints about an unusual sound coming from the speakers.

Audio Distortion

According to users on Reddit, individuals who own different models of the iPhone 15 have noticed that the audio becomes distorted and crackly when the volume is turned up too high.

The earpiece speaker located at the top of the phone seems to be the most affected by this issue.

One user shared their experience, stating: "My iPhone 15 Pro Max arrived on launch day, and right out of the box, full volume speaker calls rattle the speaker and sound like liquid inside, and the same goes for music above around 80%."

Another user commented, "Based on my experience, the audio appears to rattle or crackle in specific videos or certain frequency ranges."

Persistent Problem

Several other iPhone 15 users on Reddit also mentioned similar experiences when receiving new units from Apple. However, they reported that the problem persisted despite getting a replacement handset.

The iPhone 15 was launched just a few weeks ago and has already faced complaints regarding overheating and difficulties with charging via battery packs.

Earlier this week, MacRumours issued a warning stating that charging iPhone 15s with a BMW's wireless charger may cause damage to the device's computer chip.

Disappointed iPhone Fans

Apple fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, have expressed shock at the number of issues early-bird iPhone 15 customers have encountered.

"It just keeps getting worse and worse! Glad I don't regret my decision to upgrade this year," one person tweeted.

Another frustrated user exclaimed, "The issues just don't seem to end! This is crazy!"
