Frustrated iPhone 15 Owners Report Compatibility Issues with Battery Packs

USB-C Charging Port Creates Problems

The new iPhone 15 has encountered yet another obstacle, as users are now reporting compatibility issues with certain battery packs. Apple introduced a USB-C charging port to the iPhone 15 lineup, replacing the classic Lightning cable. The feature of two-way charging, allowing the iPhone 15 to boost the battery of other Apple devices, has become a problem with some USB-C battery packs draining the phone's battery instead of restoring it.

Users Vent Frustration on Forums

On a MacRumours forum, one customer shared their disappointment: "So I picked up my iPhone 15 Pro Max this morning, and since I wasn't going home I figured I would bring my Anker PowerCore Slim 10K PD and charge it that way. Unfortunately, when plugging it in with the USB C cable, the iPhone decides to charge the Anker instead of the other way around." Another user on Reddit sought advice on how to reverse the power flow, stating, "How do I switch it to provide power to the iPhone?"

Potential Incompatibilities Discovered

While most USB-C power banks with Power Delivery appear to be working as intended, some may still be incompatible with the iPhone 15. MacRumours advises iPhone 15 owners to be cautious and consider purchasing a different charging bank if necessary.

Overheating Issues Reported Too

Earlier this week, it was also revealed that iPhone 15 Pro models may suffer from overheating problems. Engineer turned tech content creator Mohit Verma described the issue, saying, "The natural titanium iPhone 15 Pro gets extremely hot, so much so that it becomes difficult to hold. It heats up after just a two-minute FaceTime call or when scrolling through reels for eight to ten minutes. This is a new issue for me, as I've never encountered this with any previous phone." Videos from tech content creators showcased iPhone 15 Pro models reaching temperatures of 42 degrees Celsius.

Mixed Reviews for Apple's Latest Devices

Despite the anticipation surrounding the release of the iPhone 15 models just two weeks ago, some customers have expressed disappointment with the performance thus far.
