FIFA players warned of major change as five popular games go offline

FIFA players warned of major change as five popular games go offline

The end of an era

EA FC 24 has arrived, but that doesn't mean FIFA fans are ready to say goodbye to their favorite football series.

A record-breaking game

FIFA 23, the best-selling game in the UK last year, sold over 10 million copies in its first week alone.

Out with the old, in with the new

While some players eagerly purchase each new release to keep up with the latest teams, not everyone has the budget for it. Many players wait for sales or continue playing older versions instead.

Surprising game removal

In a shocking move, all FIFA games previously available for purchase have been suddenly removed from online stores, without any prior announcement.

End of an era, part two

FIFA 15, 16, 17, and 18 were removed by EA in 2021, but more recent titles were still available for purchase until September 26th.

Goodbye to FIFA 19-23

This means that FIFA 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23 can no longer be purchased on any platform.

The silver lining

If you already own these games, don't worry – you can still play them and find opponents online. Additionally, FIFA 22 and 23 are still accessible through subscriptions like EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

What's next?

While there's no indication that these subscription options will be removed, EA Sports is no longer selling the game directly.
