Shock new video appears to show Angel Di Maria SPITTING at Brazil fans after Argentina squad have beer thrown on them

A video has emerged showing Angel Di Maria, the Argentine footballer, allegedly spitting at Brazil fans during a heated match at the Maracana stadium. The game between Brazil and Argentina was marred by crowd trouble, and the video captures an acrimonious exchange between the Argentine players and fans.

Tempers flare

In the video, the Argentina players are seen heading towards the tunnel after the match was delayed due to violence in the stands. Captain Lionel Messi was leading his teammates back to the dressing room when they were showered with beer by the fans. This led to Benfica star Di Maria allegedly spitting at the fans in retaliation.

Fans online expressed their disgust at Di Maria's actions, with one calling it "rotten" and another saying it was "just a shame."

Trouble on the field

The match itself was also intense, with 22 fouls committed in the first half alone. Nicolas Otamendi scored the winning goal for Argentina in the 63rd minute, but the game was marred by an altercation between Joelinton, who was sent off for Brazil, and Rodrigo de Paul, who had a hold of his arm. De Paul also had an argument with Brazil star Rodrygo, who called them "cowards."

This loss on home soil in World Cup qualifiers was Brazil's first ever. Reports suggest that FIFA may launch an investigation into the crowd trouble, which could result in a points deduction for Brazil.
