Wimbledon finalist David Nalbandian sued by ex-girlfriend for sexual harassment and stalking

Wimbledon finalist David Nalbandian sued by ex-girlfriend for sexual harassment and stalking

Tennis star David Nalbandian is facing a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, Araceli Torrado, accusing him of sexual harassment and stalking. The complaint comes after Torrado allegedly discovered hidden cameras in the air conditioning of her apartment that were allegedly installed by Nalbandian. While a judge ruled that Nalbandian did install the cameras, it was not considered a crime as the couple shared the apartment. However, Torrado is now seeking legal action for harassment and stalking.

Hidden cameras discovered

A video shared by Torrado shows the moment she discovered a hidden camera in her apartment. The judge confirmed that the camera was indeed placed there by Nalbandian. However, since the couple shared the apartment, it was not considered a criminal act. Nevertheless, Torrado is now suing Nalbandian for sexual harassment and stalking.

Admission from Nalbandian

Nalbandian has admitted to installing the camera in the apartment. In a statement, he expressed his desire to reconcile with Torrado and claimed that he was never able to watch any footage from the camera due to internet issues. He also stated that Torrado was free to sleep with anyone she wanted.

Legal action and response

Torrado confirmed on social media that she is filing a criminal case and corresponding civil legal proceedings against Nalbandian. She thanked her supporters for their backing in the matter. Nalbandian, who reached a career-high ranking of World No. 3, has not yet publicly responded to the lawsuit.
