Ronnie O’Sullivan reveals unique celebration plan after snooker legend’s record-breaking UK Championship win

Snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan is not planning a huge celebration after his historic victory at the UK Championship. The 47-year-old claimed his eighth title in York, beating Ding Junhui 10-7 in the final. O’Sullivan has become the oldest-ever winner of the illustrious competition, just two days before his 48th birthday.

A Low-Key Celebration

O’Sullivan has revealed that he has no plans for a grand celebration. He previously stated that if he won the tournament, his treat to himself would be a couple of Snickers bars, a bag of crisps, and a Diet Coke on the motorway home. The snooker star described this simple indulgence as one of his favorite things to do after being on the road for a few days.

A Record-Breaking Career

O’Sullivan’s victory at the UK Championship adds to his impressive list of achievements. With this win, he has now accumulated 22 Masters, World Snooker Championship, and UK titles combined in his career. His first victory at the UK Championship came three decades ago when he defeated Stephen Hendry as a teenager. However, O’Sullivan has previously admitted that he doesn’t keep his trophies, as he is "preparing for death."
