Punters Unimpressed as Favourite Chinned at Tramore

Punters were left disappointed after a heavily-backed favourite, Jolie Coeur Allen, was narrowly beaten on the line at Tramore. The Willie Mullins-trained four-year-old was odds-on at 2-9 for her hurdling debut, but failed to deliver.

High Expectations

Jolie Coeur Allen had shown promise in her previous outings, finishing second in a strong French race on debut and fifth in a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree last season. With weight in her favor, she was expected to dominate the competition.

Quirks and Challenges

Despite her talent, Jolie Coeur Allen has her quirks, as evident by her wearing a hood during the race. Jockey Mark Walsh seemed confident, but had to work hard to keep his mount going in the final stages of the race.

Punters Express Disappointment

Despite Walsh's efforts, punters were not impressed with the performance of Jolie Coeur Allen. Many voiced their frustrations, with some accusing Walsh of not riding the horse to her full potential. Stewards may be looking into the matter.

One punter commented, "Stewards should be asking the question of Mark Walsh for his very soft ride on Jolie Coeur Allen at Tramore. The hot favourite rolled."

Another critic added, "The jockey on the second should be banned as he was not riding the horse out one hundred percent."

Overall, punters felt that more could have been done to secure a victory for the highly-fancied Jolie Coeur Allen.
