Man City Star Erling Haaland Sells £3 Million Private Plane

Haaland Ditches Wing-Playing for Plane Sale

Man City ace Erling Haaland has made a surprising move off the pitch by selling his private plane. The 23-year-old striker has been frequently seen traveling around Europe on the Piper Malibu, a plane he co-owned with his father and two partners. However, Haaland has decided to part ways with the aircraft, which was purchased for just under £2 million in 2021.

Plane Sold for a Profit

The buyer of Haaland's plane is Eckhoff Johansen, a tycoon in the gun silencer industry. Johansen revealed that he paid significantly more than the original purchase price. The Piper M600, the updated version of the aircraft, is currently priced at £3 million for new buyers.

Haaland's Ownership Stake

Haaland and his father held a 37.5% stake in the company that owned the six-seater plane. While they enjoyed their time with the aircraft, a source stated that both Haaland and his father are wealthy enough to charter private planes without the responsibilities of ownership. The sale of the plane also appears to have been a profitable business move for the duo.

Haaland's Injury Recovery

Haaland has been recovering from a stress injury to his foot, which has kept him out of the City side for several weeks. The young star has been using this time off to recuperate and prepare for his return to the field.
