Former Footballer Finds Success in a Different Field

From the Pitch to the Nutritionist's Office

Romain Giroud, brother of AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud, made a surprising career choice when he decided to quit football and become a full-time nutritionist. Despite playing alongside some of France's football greats as a teenager, Romain never made it as a professional player. However, he has found solace and success in his new field.

An Emotional Message

Romain, in a joint interview with French TV channel Telefoot, expressed his admiration for his brother Olivier. He called him the best player in the world and credited him for inspiring his own career path. The heartfelt message brought Olivier to tears, highlighting the deep bond between the brothers.

A Winning Culture

Romain also spoke about his relationship with Olivier in an interview with L'Equipe. He revealed that growing up with older brothers who played football helped create a competitive and winning culture. Olivier's determination to match his siblings' skills and his ability to seize opportunities have made him a successful striker.

A Football Career to Remember

Olivier Giroud had an impressive football career, starting with French side Grenoble in 2006. He went on to play for Istres, Tours, and Montpellier before joining Arsenal in 2012. During his time at Arsenal, he scored 105 goals in 253 appearances and won three FA Cups. He also received the prestigious Puskas Award in 2017 for an incredible scorpion kick goal. Giroud later joined Chelsea, where he won the Champions League and Europa League titles. In 2021, he signed with AC Milan and won the Serie A title in his first season.

A True Legend

Giroud's achievements go beyond club football. He is France's all-time leading goalscorer, with 56 goals in 129 appearances for the national team. His impact on and off the pitch has made him a trailblazer in the world of football.

It's clear that Romain Giroud made the right choice in pursuing his own path and finding success as a nutritionist. While his brother Olivier shines on the football field, Romain has carved his own unique journey.
