Alan Shearer Slams Manchester United Attack Over Lack of Service to Rasmus Hojlund

Alan Shearer Points Out Weakness of Garnacho and Antony in Pass Stats

Manchester United's attack has come under fire from Alan Shearer following their defeat to West Ham. Shearer highlighted a major problem with Alejandro Garnacho and Antony, who have failed to provide adequate service to Rasmus Hojlund.

United's Struggles Continue

Manchester United suffered their eighth Premier League defeat of the season against West Ham. The team failed to score for the seventh time, with only one team scoring fewer goals than them this season.

Rasmus Hojlund's Lack of Service

Rasmus Hojlund has been singled out for his failure to find the target in 14 Premier League games. However, Shearer revealed the damning statistics that show the striker has not received any service from Garnacho and Antony.

Poor Pass Stats

Garnacho and Antony have played over 450 minutes alongside Hojlund this season, but have only managed a combined total of 11 passes to the youngster. This averages out to around one pass per 90 minutes, a statistic that Shearer finds concerning.

Improvement Needed

Shearer emphasized the need for Manchester United to improve their service to Hojlund in order to start scoring goals. He expressed his frustration with the lack of passes from both Garnacho and Antony, stating that there is something drastically wrong with United's attack.

Hojlund's Lack of Support

Rasmus Hojlund has received the fewest passes out of any Premier League forward this season. In all of his 798 minutes in the Premier League, he has received less than 150 passes from his teammates.

During the match against West Ham, Hojlund was substituted before the hour mark, and his replacement Marcus Rashford had a similarly disappointing performance, touching the ball just 14 times.
