Former Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was recently sacked by Al-Ittihad after a reported 'blazing dressing room row' with star player Karim Benzema. The manager, who had won the Saudi Pro League last season, was let go after just over a year in charge.

Nuno Allegedly Slams Benzema as 'Lazy'

According to reports, Nuno criticized Benzema for being 'lazy' during the heated exchange. The clash occurred following a defeat to Iraqi side Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya in the AFC Champions League.

Benzema Hits Back, Calls for Unity

Responding to Nuno's comments, Benzema reportedly retorted, "Don't just talk to me, talk to the whole group." The Frenchman emphasized the importance of collective effort and unity within the team.

Al-Ittihad Part Ways with Nuno

Following the incident, Al-Ittihad decided to part ways with Nuno the next day. The club currently sits sixth in the table after a recent loss to Al-Shabab.

Possible Replacement for Nuno Emerges

Former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui is rumored to be a strong candidate to replace Nuno at Al-Ittihad. Lopetegui left Wolves back in August and is reportedly wanted by the Saudi champions.
