'Absolute Mayhem' at Ludlow Racecourse as Two Jockeys Ride Same Horse in Chaotic Pile-Up

Absolute Mayhem at Ludlow Racecourse as Two Jockeys Ride Same Horse in Chaotic Pile-Up

It was a scene of "absolute mayhem" at Ludlow Racecourse as two jockeys found themselves riding the same horse during a chaotic pile-up. The incident occurred during a mares' novice hurdle on Thursday, resulting in three jockeys hitting the ground. Fortunately, all jockeys were able to get up and move after the eventful race.

Confusion and Collisions

The chaos began when jockey David Bass was thrown off Von Hallers after the horse appeared to clip heels with another competitor while rounding the home bend. As this was happening, leader Faha Belle veered off course, crashing through a rail. Jockey Daire Davis was then sent flying from her saddle.

Double Trouble

In a strange turn of events, Davis ended up literally riding Kit's Coty, the same horse being ridden by jockey Tom Bellamy. For a split second, both jockeys found themselves on the same horse. However, the confusion was short-lived as Bellamy was unseated and crashed to the ground as the rest of the horses thundered over him.

More updates on this chaotic race to follow.
