Rumors are swirling about an upcoming major design overhaul for WhatsApp, bringing with it a new style of buttons and a refreshed shade of green. A leaked sneak peek of the app's new look has been making waves. Take a closer look at what's in store.
New Green Color for Light and Dark Modes
After years of remaining visually unchanged, WhatsApp is finally getting a sleeker and more modern facelift. New images revealed by WABetaInfo show that a fresh green color will be introduced for both light and dark modes.
Enhancements to the Runner Bar and Chat Bubbles
One noticeable change in the redesigned app is the runner bar in the dark mode, which now features a slightly lighter grey color, providing separation from the chat list and conversations. Dark theme users will also enjoy updated chat bubbles.
Not Just for Android: iOS Users Included
While these changes are primarily for the Android app, iPhone users will not be left behind. Though it's unclear how the new look will appear on iOS devices, similar enhancements were found in the iOS beta trial.
