Diogo Jota's Racy Goal Celebration Shocks Fans - But It's Not What You Think!

Diogo Jotas Racy Goal Celebration Shocks Fans - But Its Not What You Think!

A Celebration that Raised Eyebrows

Diogo Jota has done it again! The Liverpool forward scored his second goal of the Premier League's 2023/24 season, but it's not his skills that everyone is talking about. Fans were left puzzled by Jota's saucy-looking celebration.

A Controversial Gesture

After scoring the goal against West Ham United, Jota raised his arms above his head and shaped his hands like an upside-down triangle. This gesture is known to have a racy meaning in several countries, bearing a resemblance to a 'lady garden'.

Not As Saucy As It Looks

However, it turns out Jota's celebration wasn't as scandalous as fans initially thought. In a tweet after the match, Jota clarified that he was imitating the logo for EA FC 24, a football game developed by EA Sports FC. The logo features an upside-down triangle with the game's name inside.

Jota's Tweet and Mixed Fan Reactions

Jota tweeted a picture of his celebration, tagging EA Sports FC's official account and asking for their thoughts. In response, EA retweeted the image with an eyes emoji. But while EA seemed to appreciate the homage, some of Jota's fans weren't as pleased.

One user commented, "Awful but you're class, mate," while another long-time Liverpool fan went as far as to say, "If you do another FIFA celebration then I'm quickselling you." It seems that fans didn't appreciate the merging of the football and gaming worlds.

Footballers and Gaming

Jota is not the only footballer who dedicates his time to video games. Many players, including those who enjoy both EA FC and Football Manager, have openly shared their love for virtual football entertainment.
