Meet Frederik Vesti

Frederik Vesti, born on January 13, 2002, is a rising star in the world of motorsport. Currently competing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Prema Racing, Vesti is also a member of the Mercedes Junior Team. His passion for racing began at the age of 10 when he started karting competitively. He then moved on to the Danish Formula Ford, where he finished fourth in the championship. Vesti's talent and determination led to two successful F3 campaigns, finishing fourth overall in both. In 2019, he made a name for himself by winning the Formula Regional European Championship.

Why is Frederik Vesti Racing at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2023?

As part of an F1 rule introduced last year, each team is required to run a rookie for two practice sessions throughout the season. Vesti got his chance during the first Practice in Mexico last month, filling in for George Russell. Currently second in the F2 standings, Vesti has a tremendous opportunity to clinch the championship at the Yas Marina circuit. He will first appear in FP1 (First Practice) and is excited to build on his experience and continue his journey in the world of Formula 1.

When is the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2023?

The highly anticipated F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 26. The race will start at 1pm GMT (5pm local time). The Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi will be the host of this thrilling event, which can accommodate around 60,000 spectators. Last year, Max Verstappen secured pole position during the 2022 edition of the race.
