Born on July 29, 1973, in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic, Victor Martinez began his journey in bodybuilding at a young age. He competed for the International Federation of BodyBuilders (IFBB) and became the second Dominican bodybuilder to turn professional.
Martinez's career reached its peak when he won the prestigious Arnold Classic in 2007, showcasing his exceptional skills and dedication to the sport. However, his journey hasn't been without challenges.
Overcoming Adversities
In 2008, Martinez faced a setback when he ruptured his left patellar tendon during warm-up lunges. This injury forced him to miss the 2008 Arnold Classic and Mr. Olympia contests. Despite the severity of the injury, Martinez made a strong comeback after almost a year of recovery and training.

Tragedy struck Martinez's life in 2009 when his sister, Eridania Rodríguez, went missing from her workplace in a New York skyscraper. Her body was tragically found four days later inside a ventilation shaft. The perpetrator, Joseph Pabon, was convicted of her murder in 2012.

In 2018, Martinez partnered with the NPC Northeast Ametuer division to create the Victor Martinez Legends championship, leaving a lasting impact on the sport that shaped his life. He also co-owned the Muscle Maker Grill in Edgewater, NJ, and served as the franchise's spokesperson.
Outside of bodybuilding, Martinez is a proud father to two sons, Justin and Jared, and four daughters, Victoria, Zayde, Vivian, and Zoe. He currently resides in Edgewater, New Jersey, enjoying his retired life.

Martinez's bodybuilding career took off in 1997 when he competed in the NPC New York Metro Championships, where he placed first in the light heavyweight category.
