Welsh Grand National Triumph for Gary Moore as Nassalam Wins by 34 Lengths

Welsh Grand National Triumph for Gary Moore as Nassalam Wins by 34 Lengths

Punters Left Speechless as Nassalam Dominates

Punters at the Welsh Grand National were treated to a jaw-dropping performance as Nassalam secured a victory by a staggering 34 lengths. The six-year-old horse, trained by Gary Moore, had previously won the trial race with ease and continued his winning streak in the main event.

Unbelievable Performance by Best-Handicapped Horse

Despite being the best-handicapped horse in the race, few could have predicted the level of dominance shown by Nassalam. Backed into 9-2 joint-favorite, alongside Fergal O'Brien's Autonomous Cloud, Nassalam was always in control under jockey Caolin Quinn.

Stamina Questions Answered with Convincing Win

While concerns about Nassalam's stamina lingered, he and Quinn quickly put those doubts to rest. Taking the lead halfway down the back straight, Nassalam pulled away from the competition, leaving only five of the 19 runners to finish the race in difficult conditions.

Moore's Yard Celebrates Triple Victory

Gary Moore had an incredible day at the races, with Nassalam's win adding to two other big victories for the yard. Punters were left astonished by Moore's success, with one fan declaring it "the best hour of racing" in the trainer's career.

Salver Impresses in Finale Juvenile Hurdle

Salver, another talented horse from Moore's stable, showcased his potential by winning the Finale Juvenile Hurdle. With this victory, Salver's odds for the Triumph Hurdle were significantly shortened to 16-1.

Editeur Du Gite Triumphs at Kempton

Moore's success extended beyond the Welsh Grand National, as Editeur Du Gite secured back-to-back wins in the Desert Orchid at Kempton. Despite carrying top weight, the horse held off strong competition and impressed jockey Niall Houlihan.
