Unemployed David de Gea links up with Man Utd star in ‘winning team’ as he continues search for next club

David de Gea, the former Manchester United goalkeeper, was spotted spending time with his Red Devils teammate Sergio Reguilon. De Gea has been on the hunt for a new club since his contract expired over the summer.

Continued Search

De Gea's search for a new club has been unsuccessful so far, leaving him without a team for the time being. However, he has been making appearances in Manchester while he looks for his next opportunity.

Linking Up with Reguilon

During his recent appearance in Manchester, De Gea was seen with Sergio Reguilon, who joined Manchester United on an emergency loan late in the summer transfer window. The two Spanish compatriots were photographed together and De Gea captioned the post on his Instagram story as "Winning Team".

Bonding Over Padel

The pair appeared to be enjoying a game of padel, which is the second most popular sport in Spain after football. Padel has an estimated 3.5 million players in Spain and the country boasts a whopping 14,000 padel courts, compared to just 250 in the UK.

De Gea's Legacy at Man Utd

During his 12-year stint at Manchester United, De Gea achieved numerous accolades including winning the Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League, and League Cup twice. He also broke the record for the most appearances by a goalkeeper for the club with 545 in total.

Supporting Former Teammates

Despite no longer being at Manchester United, De Gea has shown support for his former teammates. He recently weighed in on the debate over whether Bruno Fernandes should be stripped of the captaincy.

Exploring New Opportunities

De Gea has also been exploring new opportunities outside of football, including eSports. There have been talks of a potential career move to eSports, with former Manchester United player Dimitar Berbatov expressing interest in joining him.
