Tyson Fury's Knockdown Leaves Oleksandr Usyk Shell-Shocked

Tyson Furys Knockdown Leaves Oleksandr Usyk Shell-Shocked

Oleksandr Usyk was left stunned when Tyson Fury was knocked down by Francis Ngannou on Saturday night. The Ukrainian had signed to fight Fury in an undisputed clash scheduled for December 23. However, the fight may now be pushed back to 2024 as Fury's promoter has doubts about his readiness. If Fury had lost to Ngannou, Usyk's blockbuster showdown with the WBC champion could have been off the table altogether.

Shocking Knockdown

In their bout in Saudi Arabia, Ngannou dropped Fury with a left hook in the third round. This surprising moment left everyone in attendance utterly stunned, including Usyk. The Ukrainian couldn't believe what he had just witnessed, as his potential clash with Fury seemed to go up in smoke.

Relief for Usyk

Fortunately for Usyk, Fury recovered and secured a controversial split decision win. The cameras caught Usyk's reaction as Fury was sent down to the canvas. His eyes widened, and he began scratching his head in disbelief. Fans have hilariously claimed that Usyk's astonishment was due to watching a massive payday vanish before his eyes.

One fan said, "Face of a man that's just lost 50 mill plus."

Another added, "Dollar signs fading away."
