TNT Sports Reportedly Cuts WWE NXT Coverage in the UK

TNT Sports, the broadcaster known for airing WWE NXT in the UK, has decided to axe their coverage of the wrestling programme. The show has been a staple on TNT Sports and BT Sport since January 2020, following its run on Sky Sports. However, viewers will still have the option to watch WWE NXT as a WWE Network exclusive show by subscribing to the service for £9.99 per month.

Final Broadcast on January 3

According to reports from the Metro, TNT Sports will air its final episode of WWE NXT on January 3. The broadcast will feature the NXT New Year's Evil special. Although WWE NXT will no longer be part of TNT Sports' lineup, the broadcaster will continue to air other WWE shows, including Smackdown and Raw events.

What is WWE NXT?

WWE NXT is a highly popular wrestling show that showcases the best male and female amateur wrestlers as they compete to become the next breakout stars of WWE. The program also features mentors from Raw and Smackdown, providing guidance to the aspiring wrestlers. WWE NXT has been airing every Wednesday morning at 1am.

Transition to WWE Network Exclusive

Starting in 2024, WWE NXT will be exclusively available on the WWE Network. This move allows fans to continue watching the show by subscribing to the network for a monthly fee. The first episode of WWE NXT in 2024 will feature a championship match between Ilja Dragunov and Trick Williams for the NXT championship. Additionally, the women's title will be up for grabs with a match between Lyra Valkyria and Blair Davenport.
