From a Chance Meeting to Courtroom Woes
Tributes pour in as England legend Terry Venables passes away at the age of 80 after a long illness. Venables leaves behind his wife Yvette, with whom he shared a 32-year-long marriage.
A Love Story Born in a Pub
Venables met Yvette in his father's pub in Chingford, Essex in 1984. Their love story took them to Barcelona when Venables was appointed as manager, and they tied the knot in 1991.
Support Through the Highs and Lows
Yvette stood by Terry even when he was dismissed as chief executive of Tottenham Hotspur. She managed his dining club, Scribes West, and supported him through a three-day High Court battle.
Running a Business Together
The couple later sold Scribes West and ventured into running a boutique hotel and restaurant in Alicante, Spain.

A Love that Transcends
In a 1996 interview, Yvette expressed her love for Terry and how he fulfilled all her romantic aspirations. Despite not having children of her own, she cherished Terry's two daughters from his previous marriage.
Behind the Scenes
Yvette reveals that Terry is not one to do household chores, but she doesn't mind. She prefers to keep their relationship balanced and avoids putting him in uncomfortable positions.
Shying Away from the Spotlight
Yvette admits her discomfort with attending big functions and being in the limelight. However, she emphasizes their strong bond and the importance of laughter in their relationship.
England manager Gareth Southgate pays tribute to his former coach, describing Terry Venables as "outstanding."
