Sergio Ramos Gets Booed by Atletico Fans for Breaking Football Etiquette

Real Madrid Legend Sergio Ramos Returns to Atletico Madrid and Faces Hostile Reception

Sergio Ramos, the Real Madrid legend, experienced a less-than-warm welcome when he returned to the Spanish capital on Saturday with his new team, Sevilla. The defender was booed throughout the match against Atletico Madrid after stepping on their badge while coming out to warm up.

Ramos, 37, ran out in front of the Atletico fans with his Sevilla teammates, and his actions infuriated the home supporters. He emerged from the tunnel and deliberately stepped on the Atletico badge etched into the grass, leading to jeers throughout the game.

However, fans on social media were quick to dismiss the idea that stepping on a club crest is disrespectful. Some pointed out that logos are often placed on the ground, making it illogical to complain about it. Others suggested that if the badge was not placed in "s***ty places," there would be no cause for concern.

This incident is not the first time Ramos has been at the center of controversy with Atletico Madrid. In the 2014 Champions League final, he famously scored a 90th-minute equalizer against Atletico, helping Real Madrid secure a 4-1 victory in extra time.

Ramos spent 16 successful years at Real Madrid, winning five LaLiga titles and four Champions League trophies. He returned to Sevilla in the summer after 18 years away, but the team is currently struggling in 15th place in the table.
