Referee Stabs Footballer in Shocking Brawl

Grassroots Match Turns Violent

A referee in Argentina shocked spectators when he stabbed a player during a brawl at a grassroots match. The incident took place in the town of Scholler in the province of Misiones on December 2. Phone footage captured the chaotic scene as players from both teams confronted the ref on the pitch.

Player Rushed to Hospital

After brandishing a knife, the referee stabbed a 21-year-old player in the chest. The player was quickly carried off the pitch by his teammates and later identified as Kevin A. He was rushed to the hospital with a punctured lung. Fortunately, he is now recovering.

Referee Arrested

The rogue ref, 62-year-old Remigio Armoa, was arrested by the police. They also seized the knife used in the attack. The investigation is still ongoing.

Miraculous Survival

The player's uncle spoke to local media, expressing relief that Kevin A. survived the incident. He described his nephew as a talented footballer and referred to him as the "Messi of the family." The family is grateful that Kevin had the opportunity to play for a club like Chacarita.
