Real Madrid "don't quite trust" England with Jude Bellingham's injury

Real Madrid dont quite trust England with Jude Bellinghams injury

According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid has concerns about Jude Bellingham's injury and England's handling of it. The 20-year-old has been sidelined for the past two matches due to a shoulder injury. Madrid chiefs initially stated that Bellingham would be out for at least two weeks, ruling him out of upcoming matches against Malta and North Macedonia. However, England staff are now closely assessing the European Golden Boy winner, much to the frustration of those in Madrid.

Real Madrid concerned about Bellingham's situation

Spanish reporter Edu Aguirre spoke on El Chiringuito about the situation, saying, "Jude is in England right now and will be tested for at least two days. The English team will be the one who decides if he stays there to play or if he returns to Madrid." Aguirre also added, "At Real Madrid, there is some concern about Bellingham's physical situation. They don't quite trust what happens with England."

Southgate already dealing with withdrawals

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate has already had to call up three uncapped players due to a trio of withdrawals. James Maddison pulled out with an ankle injury that will keep him out until the new year, while Lewis Dunk and Callum Wilson are also unavailable.

New faces hoping for debuts

Chelsea star Cole Palmer, Rico Lewis, and Ezri Konsa could all potentially earn their first senior caps for England. Levi Colwill, who reported for duty on Monday, may also have to withdraw due to a shoulder injury. Reece James, on the other hand, requested not to be included in the squad as he has just recovered from his latest injury issue.

Notable inclusions and England's successful Euro 2024 qualification

Raheem Sterling has once again been left out of the England squad, despite his impressive form for Chelsea. However, Marcus Rashford has secured a place in the team. Jordan Henderson and Kalvin Phillips have been selected for the midfield, despite Henderson's move to Saudi Arabia and Phillips' lack of game time at Manchester City. It's worth noting that England has already qualified for Euro 2024 with an impressive 16 points from six games in Group C.
