Panicked Forest and Bournemouth medics rush onto pitch as Adam Smith suffers horror injury after clash of heads

CONCERNED Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest fans were left in shock as Adam Smith sustained a serious injury during a clash of heads.

Quick Response

The incident occurred in the fifth minute of stoppage time when Smith collided with Forest's Ryan Yates inside the Cherries' box.

Both teams' medical staff quickly rushed to the pitch to attend to the injured players.

Thankfully, No Serious Damage

Fortunately, after a brief pause in play, it was confirmed that both Smith and Yates were okay.

The match resumed just three minutes later, with Bournemouth eventually securing an impressive 3-2 victory at the City Ground.

Controversy Surrounding Smith

Aside from the injury scare, Smith was also involved in a controversial incident with Willy Boly.

In the 23rd minute, Boly made a tackle and successfully won the ball, but Smith accidentally stepped on his ankle and fell to the ground.

The referee deemed Boly's tackle to be dangerous and issued him a second yellow card, resulting in his dismissal from the game.

Bournemouth's Comeback

Despite Nottingham Forest taking the lead with Anthony Elanga's goal in the 47th minute, Bournemouth capitalized on their numerical advantage.

Dominic Solanke scored two goals in just seven minutes, turning the tide in Bournemouth's favor.

Forest managed to equalize with Chris Wood's goal in the 74th minute, seemingly on track to secure their first point under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Solanke's Heroics

However, in the fourth minute of stoppage time, Solanke completed his hat-trick with an assist from Smith.

This late goal secured the victory for Bournemouth, leaving Forest in 17th place in the Premier League table, with just a two-point buffer from the relegation zone.
