Rant from the manager
A non-league football manager has launched a scathing attack on his own players, branding them a "bunch of losers" in a shocking post-match interview. Michael Birmingham, the manager of Horndean FC, expressed his frustration and disappointment following the team's 1-0 loss to Phoenix Sports.
A disappointing season
Horndean FC, who currently compete in the eighth tier of English football, have been struggling this season. With just two wins out of their ten games in the Isthmian League South East Division, they currently sit in 16th place in the table.
A fiery outburst
In the post-match interview, Birmingham did not hold back in his criticism of the team's performance. He accused them of lacking effort, avoiding physical challenges, and being afraid. He also expressed his frustration at their failure to capitalize on previous successes.
No improvement in the second half
When asked if the second half of the match showed any improvement, Birmingham responded with a resounding "no." He criticized his centre-forwards and claimed that they were incapable of hitting the target. Despite having multiple opportunities to score, the team failed to capitalize on them.

A familiar rant
This outburst from Birmingham is reminiscent of another non-league manager, Marc White of Dorking Wanderers, who also had a memorable meltdown earlier in the season. White described his players as "absolutely s**t" after a disappointing defeat.
Horndean FC competes in the same league as Cray Valley Paper Mills, who recently drew with Charlton in the FA Cup.
