OKTAGON Champion Karlos Vemola Struggles to Stand Following 'KO of the Year'
MMA star Karlos Vemola required medical assistance and had trouble standing after a brutal knockout during his recent fight. The light-heavyweight champion of OKTAGON MMA faced off against rival Samuel Kristofic at Prague's O2 Arena in a highly anticipated grudge match.
Vemola, who had previously moved down to middleweight in order to settle his long-standing feud with Kristofic, was defeated in the first round. Kristofic landed a devastating combination that left Vemola unable to continue.
As a result of the knockout, Vemola, who is known for sharing his home with sharks, lions, and crocodiles alongside his Playboy model wife Lela, required medical attention and was unable to stand up. Fans in attendance were left shocked by the sudden stoppage of the fight.
One spectator commented, "Pirát’ Krištofič with a super late entry for KO of the Year." Another added, "I mean my god. Vemola fell in slow motion." The overall consensus was that the knockout was brutal, and the referee's decision to intervene was well-executed.

Prior to the fight, Vemola had achieved a seven-second knockout victory in October, earning him the light-heavyweight title. He is scheduled to headline a trilogy bout against Patrik Kincle at Prague's Fortuna Arena football stadium in June. However, it remains uncertain whether Vemola will be fit for the series decider, as he has both defeated and lost to Kincle in the past.
