Millwall fans face court for mocking tragic Leicester City chairman’s helicopter crash

Two Fans Detained and Ejected

Two Millwall fans are facing legal consequences after mocking the tragic death of Leicester City's former chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, in a helicopter crash. The incident occurred at The Den stadium in London during the club's FA Cup tie. Footage of the fans making sick gestures towards the away stand was shared on social media.

Enquiries Ongoing

Staff at Millwall's ground reportedly engaged with the fans, and the Metropolitan Police detained and ejected two men from the stadium. Both individuals will be summonsed for an offence under the Public Order Act. Authorities are still investigating to locate a third man involved in the incident.

Tragic Helicopter Crash

In 2018, Thai billionaire businessman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was among five people who lost their lives in a helicopter crash. The chopper, departing from the King Power Stadium, spun out of control, resulting in the tragic accident. The pilot, Eric Swaffer, managed to perform emergency actions and make a controlled landing, but the helicopter ultimately crashed due to a catastrophic failure in the tail rotor's duplex bearing.

No Comments from Clubs

Neither Millwall nor Leicester City have released any official statements about the incident yet.
