Michael Schumachers Italian Mum Opens Up About Tragic Accident and Special Bond

Italian Mum's World Collapsed After Accident

The 'Italian mum' of F1 legend Michael Schumacher has shared her heartbreak after his tragic skiing accident. Rossella Giannini, owner of the Montana restaurant in Fiorano Modense, revealed that her world collapsed when she heard about the severity of his injuries. Despite the pain, she hopes to one day see him walk through the doors of her restaurant again.

Building a Beautiful Relationship

Rossella Giannini and Michael Schumacher developed a special bond over the years. The chef, who owns a restaurant near Ferrari's factory, remembers the first time Schumacher stepped inside her establishment in 1996. They eventually built a beautiful relationship, with Schumacher visiting her restaurant almost every day after race practice.

Schumacher's Favourite Meal Revealed

During his visits to the Montana restaurant, Schumacher had a favorite dish - "Tagliatelle Al Ragu," a classic bolognese prepared with veil. Chef Rossella also mentioned that in exceptional cases, Schumacher would order garlic and oil spaghetti. His love for Italian cuisine was evident.

Corinna Schumacher Carrying On as Michael Would Have Wanted

Michael Schumacher's pal, former F1 driver Johnny Herbert, shared insights into how the family is coping almost ten years after the accident. Despite the "huge void" left by the crash, Schumacher's wife Corinna is described as "very strong" and determined to carry on as Michael would have wanted. Their privacy has been fiercely protected, with only immediate family and close friends knowing the details of his condition.
