Meet Boris Krcmar: The Darts Bond Villain Eyeing Glory at Ally Pally

Soft-Tip Dominance

Boris Krcmar, the eight-time world champion in soft-tip darts, is set to face Gary Anderson in the third round of the PDC World Darts Championship. Despite his imposing 6ft4in frame and James Bond villain appearance, Krcmar is known as the sport's scariest opponent on the stage. His trophy haul in soft-tip darts, with eight world titles and a staggering 45 European Championship wins, surpasses the achievements of steel-tip stars like Anderson, Michael van Gerwen, and Peter Wright.

A Historic Moment

Krcmar, the first Croatian player to reach the World Darts Championship third round, shed tears of joy on stage after defeating Dirk Van Duijvenbode. The World No.61 expressed his happiness, stating that this is the best moment of his career. Despite acknowledging Anderson as one of the best players, Krcmar believes that if he plays his best game and remains relaxed, he can beat anyone.

A Hero at Home

Krcmar, nicknamed 'The Biggest,' hails from Zagreb and will spend Christmas with his family in Croatia before returning to London to face Anderson. Emotionally charged by his recent victories, Krcmar is determined to showcase his talent in steel-tip darts and fulfill his dream of becoming the best. His hero status back home is evident in the overwhelming support he has received, with over 500 messages flooding in after his second-round win.
