Mason Greenwood transfer update: LaLiga club keen to open talks with Manchester United about his future

Getafe aims to convince Greenwood to make a move to Spain

Spanish club Getafe is making efforts to persuade Mason Greenwood that his future lies in LaLiga. The forward was loaned to Getafe in September by Manchester United after he was charged with various offenses. Greenwood, however, denied the charges, and they were later dropped by the CPS. During his loan spell, the 22-year-old has impressed with three goals and two assists in nine games, and Getafe wants to extend his stay or potentially secure a permanent deal.

United may consider a deal or extend the loan

Getafe is reportedly planning to open talks with Manchester United to discuss the possibility of a deal for Greenwood. The Spanish club believes they can offer an attractive deal to United, potentially helping the club reduce its wage bill. However, United may choose to extend Greenwood's loan given his positive experience in Spain and the opportunity for him to continue growing both on and off the pitch.

Transfer guru Paul Mitchell keeping an eye on Greenwood

Transfer expert Paul Mitchell has reportedly been monitoring Greenwood's progress. Mitchell has been linked with a move to Manchester United once Sir Jim Ratcliffe completes his 25 percent buy-in of the club. His observations of Greenwood's recent performance against Cadiz could play a role in future transfer decisions.
