Manchester United Stars Unhappy with Ten Hag's Treatment of Sancho and Maguire

Manchester United stars are reportedly growing dissatisfied with manager Erik ten Hag due to his ruthless treatment of certain players within the squad. The Red Devils have suffered eight defeats in their last 15 games, leading to increased scrutiny on Ten Hag.

Sancho's Exile and Maguire's Treatment

One of the main points of contention is Ten Hag's treatment of Jadon Sancho. The 23-year-old winger has been banished from first-team training since September after a falling out with the manager. Despite not playing since August, Sancho's continued exclusion has left some United players unhappy. Another issue is Harry Maguire's treatment. The England star was stripped of the captaincy over the summer and has been dropped from Ten Hag's preferred starting line-up in favor of Lisandro Martinez. This has left some players puzzled and concerned about the impact on squad harmony.

Divide Between Players and Manager

The discontent within the Manchester United dressing room was evident in their recent 3-0 defeat to Newcastle. Former Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given commented on the "real divide" between the players and Ten Hag, suggesting a disconnection and possible lack of unity within the team. It remains to be seen how Ten Hag will address these concerns and improve results on the pitch. As Manchester United aims to qualify from their Champions League group and regain their winning form, the manager will need to find a way to bridge the gap between himself and his players.
