Man Utd star Anthony Martial offered Old Trafford escape route as Fenerbahce ‘make £6.8m transfer offer’

ANTHONY MARTIAL has been offered an escape route from Manchester United by Fenerbahce.

The 28-year-old is in the final six months of his contract at Old Trafford and is free to talk to clubs overseas.

The French international has endured an up-and-down time at United since his arrival from Monaco in 2015 and has scored 90 goals in 317 appearances.

Having been shipped out for what was an unsuccessful loan to Sevilla in 2020/21, where he scored just once in 12 games, Martial returned to the Red Devils last season and scored nine goals in 29 appearances.

This term he has managed only two goals in 19 matches – but boss Erik ten Hag still said this week that United were in talks with the player over a contract extension.

Fenerbahce wants Martial

Turkish club Fenerbahce is aiming to sign Anthony Martial from Manchester United, and they have made an initial offer of £6.8m to sign him this month instead of waiting until the summer, according to Turkish outlet Takvim. Fenerbahce believes their "good relationship" with United will help them secure the cut-price move.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe's investment

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who recently invested £1.03 billion in Manchester United, is now in charge of football operations at the club. He met with manager Erik ten Hag this week and plans to inject a massive £238m into United to bring back the club's glory years.

Ten Hag confirms contract extensions

Manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Manchester United has extended the contracts of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, and Hannibal Mejbri by an additional 12 months. However, talks are still ongoing with Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial regarding their futures at the club.

Loan spell terminated

Sergio Reguilon's loan spell from Tottenham has been terminated, according to reports. The defender will no longer be playing for Manchester United.
