Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag criticized for failing to sign TWO stars who would have ‘made him look better’ amid horror season

ERIK TEN HAG has faced backlash for not bringing either Harry Kane or Declan Rice to Manchester United.

Struggling boss fails to find consistency

During his second season at Old Trafford, Erik ten Hag has failed to establish a consistent rhythm.

Summer transfers under scrutiny

Ten Hag's summer transfers for Man Utd have come under question.

United sit eighth in the table with only nine wins out of 18 matches.

They have suffered several defeats, including home losses to Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, and Brighton.

United's Champions League campaign also ended in disappointment, finishing bottom of their group.

Now, the focus is on Ten Hag's decision not to sign Harry Kane or Declan Rice during the summer transfer window.

Missed opportunities

While United spent significant amounts on new signings, they did not pursue Kane or Rice.

Kane joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham for £82m, while Rice moved to Arsenal from West Ham for £100m.

Both players have made an immediate impact at their new clubs.

Criticism from Tim Sherwood

Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood criticized Ten Hag's decision, stating that Kane and Rice could have improved United's squad and made the manager look better.

Sherwood believes that changing the manager is necessary for United to turn their fortunes around.

He emphasized the importance of getting the best out of individual players on the pitch.

Sherwood questioned why United did not make a greater effort to sign someone of Kane's caliber.

He argued that players like Kane and Rice have a clear understanding of their roles on the pitch, unlike some of United's current players.

Sherwood concluded that the current situation is not good enough and called for a change in management.
