Lionel Messi's recent move to a Florida neighborhood has caused quite a commotion among the locals. And it seems that his new neighbors are about to reap the benefits.

The Argentine football superstar made the move from Paris to the US earlier this year when he signed with Inter Miami. Messi, along with his wife Antonela and their children, initially settled in a £7 million apartment just seconds away from Golden Beach.

However, in September, Messi decided to upgrade and purchased a stunning property worth £8.4 million in Fort Lauderdale. This move has placed him in close proximity to some of Florida's wealthiest residents.

A Boost for the Community

One of Messi's new neighbors, entrepreneur and podcast host Patrick Bet-David, revealed that the football star's arrival has had a significant impact on the value of the properties in their gated community. Bet-David stated that his own estate has already seen a staggering increase in equity, with a whopping $25 million (£19.5 million) added to its value.

A Desirable Community

Bet-David explained that their gated community, situated on an island with limited access, offers a high level of safety and security. With Messi now residing there, the neighborhood has become even more sought after, attracting visitors who arrive by boat to catch a glimpse of the houses.

Messi's Luxurious Home

Messi's new home is truly impressive, featuring ten bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a swimming pool, and a fitness and spa room. Spanning 10,500 square feet, the estate also includes two boat decks and is surrounded by water on the gated community island at Bay Colony. The house is complete with an Italian kitchen and a VIP suite.
