Juventus Abandon Transfer Pursuit of Manchester Citys Kalvin Phillips

Juventus have decided to halt their pursuit of Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips due to financial concerns. The Italian club had expressed interest in signing the England international on loan, with City continuing to pay the majority of his wages. However, Juventus has deemed both the deals for Phillips and Tottenham's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg too expensive.

Interest from Newcastle United

Kalvin Phillips, 28, is keen on a move that would enhance his chances of making the Euro 2024 squad. Newcastle United has emerged as a potential destination, showing interest in signing the midfielder for the remainder of the season.

Manchester City's Asking Price

Manchester City is reportedly demanding £5 million for Phillips to leave this month. Additionally, they are seeking an obligation from the buying club to purchase him for around £40 million. Crystal Palace and Fulham, both Premier League teams, have also expressed interest in signing Phillips.

Manchester United's Potential Bid

Manchester United may consider making a bid for Kalvin Phillips at the end of the season, adding to the competition for his signature.

Paris Saint-Germain Loan Possibility

There is a chance that Phillips might be loaned to Paris Saint-Germain this month. However, City may need to lower their demands in order to facilitate the transfer.
