Jesse Lingard, the former Manchester United star, has shared an update on his fitness as he continues his search for a new club . Lingard, 30, has been without a club since leaving Nottingham Forest at the end of last season. Despite training with Saudi outfit Al-Ettifaq and spending a month training with Steven Gerrard's side, Lingard did not secure a contract as the squad is full until at least January.

In the meantime, Lingard has been training by himself and recently shared a post on Instagram showcasing his fitness routine. The post featured Lingard working one-on-one with a trainer and was captioned: "Working baby". Lingard had previously turned down a potential deal with former loan club West Ham in order to pursue a Saudi deal.

Last season, Lingard struggled to make an impact on the pitch, managing only two goals and two assists in three Carabao Cup matches for Nottingham Forest. In the Premier League, the former Red Devils ace featured 17 times but failed to provide a goal or an assist. Lingard moved to the City Ground on a free transfer after his contract at Manchester United expired in 2022.
