Jamie Carragher Warns Arsenal: Two Players Could Cost Them Premier League Title

Lack of Quality in Vital Positions

Jamie Carragher has issued a warning to Arsenal, stating that two of their players could prevent them from winning the Premier League title this season. Despite reinforcing their squad with new signings, Carragher believes that the Gunners still lack title-winning quality in crucial positions.

Defensive Improvement, but Lack of Fluidity

Carragher noted that Arsenal have become more solid defensively this season, but they are not as fluid in their attacking play. He questioned whether the team has a center forward and a goalkeeper who are capable of leading them to the title.

Doubts Over Goalkeeper David Raya

Carragher specifically criticized goalkeeper David Raya, who joined Arsenal on loan this summer. He described Raya's performances as "absolutely all over the place" and suggested that he is not up to the standard required for a title-winning team.

Injury Concerns Up Front

With Gabriel Jesus sidelined due to injury, Arsenal has been relying on Eddie Nketiah as their main striker in recent weeks. However, Carragher expressed doubts about Nketiah's ability to lead the team to the title, pointing out that he and Jesus only scored a combined 15 goals in the league last season, significantly less than Manchester City's Erling Haaland.

Overall Concerns for Arsenal

Carragher concluded that Arsenal's lack of quality in vital positions, coupled with the underperformance of some key players from last season, could hinder their title challenge. The Gunners currently sit three points behind league leaders Manchester City.
