Tragic Loss
An Indian cricket fan, Jyotish Kumar Yadav, aged 35, has sadly passed away after suffering a heart attack following Sunday's World Cup final. India was defeated by Australia at the 132,000 capacity Narendra Modi Stadium.
Heartbreak at Home
Yadav, a software engineer, had returned home to celebrate Diwali and was watching the game with his family and friends. According to The Times of India, he was described as "tense and anxious" during the match. However, as India took three quick wickets, he was seen "swaying with joy."
A Tragic End
Towards the end of the match, Yadav complained of chest pain. Unfortunately, after India's defeat, he collapsed and was quickly rushed to Sri Venkateswara Ramnarain Ruia government general hospital. Despite efforts by medical staff, he was tragically declared dead.
Support for the Family
The state government has offered support to Yadav's family during this difficult time. Additionally, Mohith Reddy, the chairman of the Tirupati Urban Development Authority, visited their home to express his condolences.
