Graham Potter Rejects International Managers Job as Ex-Chelsea Boss Searches for New Club

Graham Potter Turns Down Sweden Head Coach Role

Graham Potter, the former Chelsea manager who was sacked in April, has reportedly declined the opportunity to become the head coach of the Sweden national team. Potter had previously rejected offers from Lyon and Leicester after his dismissal.

Preference for Club Management

Potter, who recently left his position as Brighton boss, indicated that he would prefer to return to club management rather than take on an international role. He had enjoyed a successful spell at Swedish club Ostersunds before joining Swansea and eventually Brighton.

Successful Stint at Brighton

During his time at Brighton, Potter led the team to a successful four-year spell and made a move to Chelsea in September 2022. However, his tenure at Stamford Bridge lasted only seven months before he was sacked.

Looking for a New Club

Since his departure from Chelsea, Potter has been searching for a new club to manage. With his rejection of the Sweden head coach role, it remains to be seen where he will land next in his managerial career.
