Gameweek 34 Injury Roundup: Solanke Transfer Plans in Tatters?

God. Just when you think you've got your Fantasy team sorted for the weekend, the football gods decide to throw a massive wrench in the works.

I spent all of Wednesday night plotting my transfers, only to wake up to the news that Solanke—yes, the same Solanke who's been flying off the virtual shelves ahead of Gameweek 34—might not even play. Typical. Absolutely typical.

Hear the Summary

Spurs' Injury Woes Could Wreck Your Weekend

Dominic Solanke couldn't finish Tottenham's Europa League semi against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday. The 27-year-old striker (who I'd literally just transferred in yesterday morning) scored to help Spurs win 3-1 but then limped off with some quadriceps issue.

Maddison also got yanked after tweaking his knee. Great.

Postecoglou tried to downplay both injuries in his presser, claiming they "didn't feel it was anything too significant" and that the subs were just precautionary. But let's be real—we've heard that one before. Both players are now serious doubts for Sunday's trip to West Ham, which is just fantastic timing for teh thousands of managers who've been bringing Solanke in.

Oh, and Bergvall wasn't even in the squad Thursday night.

United's Defensive Headache

Remember how everyone was jumping on Mazraoui after his impressive display against Athletic Bilbao? Well, Amorim just dropped the bombshell that he's almost certainly out for the Brentford game.

His exact words: "He cannot play."

Not exactly leaving much room for interpretation there, is he?

Some Actually Positive News (For Once)

Evanilson's red card got rescinded, so Bournemouth's striker is available to face Arsenal. I've got a mate who captained him last week and nearly threw his phone through the TV when he saw that red card, so he's absolutely buzzing today.

Eddie Howe basically confirmed what we all suspected about Joelinton—"it'll be difficult" for him to play again this season. The Newcastle midfielder is currently back in Brazil, which tells you everything you need to know about his recovery timeline.

Botman's apparently responding well to training after making the bench last weekend. Been holding him in my team since January like an idiot, so that's something I guess.

Will Liverpool's Title Charge Get a Bradley Boost?

Arne Slot expects Conor Bradley to be available for Liverpool's trip to Chelsea on Sunday. But in classic manager fashion, he immediately hedged by saying availability doesn't guarantee a start. I spent £4.8m on this kid back in February and he's been sitting on my bench injured ever since. Lesson learned.

Rodri was spotted in City training this week but don't get excited. Pep made it clear the Ballon d'Or winner isn't ready yet: "The moment the official doctor says Rodri can start to play minutes he will, but the doctors have to tell me."

Haaland's apparently progressing well but also needs more time. I sold him 3 weeks ago and he's punished me with returns ever since. Watch him magically recover for the weekend now that I've finally given up on him.

The Rashford Experiment Fizzles Out

Remember when Rashford's loan to Villa seemed like it might revitalize his career? Yeah, about that...

Unai Emery is "hoping" Rashford might play again this season, but a hamstring issue will keep him out for at least two more weeks. Poor guy. That Villa move that looked so promising in January has turned into a complete nightmare.

Robinson returns for Fulham after missing the Southampton win, but Muniz (who my brother-in-law has inexplicably kept faith in) probably won't play again this season.

That's football for you.
