GAMEWEEK 19: The Tricky Task of Navigating FA Cup Rotation

A Look at the Schedule

GameWeek 19 poses a challenge for Dream Team managers as they try to navigate the FA Cup third round fixtures. The weekend traditionally involves extensive rotation, making it difficult to predict starting line-ups. However, there may be more opportunities for points in the Carabao Cup semi-final first legs, which take place midweek.

Recommended Picks for Gameweek 19

Cole Palmer (£3.4m)

Despite his impressive performance against Luton last weekend, it's not too late to recruit Palmer. Chelsea is one of only three teams with double duty in Gameweek 19, and Palmer is likely to get minutes in games against Preston (FA Cup) and Middlesbrough (Carabao Cup). With both opponents struggling in the Championship, Palmer could have a field day. He currently has eight goals and seven assists to his name.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£6m) and/or Joe Gomez (£3.4m)

Alexander-Arnold is a top defender but is worth considering this week due to Liverpool's double cup action. While their opponents may be tougher, Liverpool is a stronger team than Chelsea. Gomez, on the other hand, offers an affordable option as Liverpool's first-choice left-back in the absence of Robertson and Tsimikas. Pairing the two would yield healthy returns if they keep clean sheets in either fixture. Virgil van Dijk is another option to consider.

Darwin Nunez (£4.1m)

Nunez can be frustrating to own but has proven to be a potent asset for Liverpool. With Salah away for AFCON, Nunez could be Klopp's most-potent weapon. While other players may feature in the front three, Nunez's unique chaos is irreplaceable. Despite missing chances against Newcastle, he still added ten points to his total in just over an hour of play.

Kevin De Bruyne (£6.7m)

While De Bruyne was an unused substitute in the previous game, he is expected to feature against Huddersfield. Even a short cameo against a Championship team could be enough to spark temptation. De Bruyne's talent is undeniable, and if he returns to form, his ownership will skyrocket. Keep a close eye on him this weekend.

The deadline for Gameweek 19 is 6:15pm on Friday, so don't forget to set your lineup before then!
