Legal Battle Over Paternity
Former Premier League striker Asamoah Gyan has been ordered by a court to give his ex-wife, Gifty, two homes and two cars after it was ruled that he fathered their three children. Gyan, who scored 11 goals in 37 games for Sunderland, has been embroiled in a five-year legal battle with his former missus.
Cryptic Response
Gyan, who hails from Ghana, posted a cryptic response on social media following the court's verdict. He wrote, "If I have 10 pts and I keep quiet cos I've matured, and you have 2 pts and you going find public sympathy, then it's cool. You are very funny. This is deep so think about it."
Assets to be Transferred
The Accra high court has ruled that Gyan must transfer ownership of his homes in the UK and Accra to Gifty, along with luxury cars from BMW and Infiniti. Additionally, Gyan must provide her with a plot of land in Ghana that is designated for a petrol station.
Care Payments
In addition to the assets, Gyan has been ordered to pay Gifty 25,000 cedis (£1,730) per month for the care of their three sons.
