Chris Casper's Journey
Chris Casper, son of former Manchester United player and member of the famous Class of '92, is carving out his own path in the world of football. While his father was part of the history-making youth team that included legends like David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, and Gary Neville, Chris is making his mark under the guidance of a Manchester City icon.
From United's Youth Team to Burnley
Chris Casper, now 48, joined Manchester United 's academy in 1991 and was a key part of the FA Youth Cup-winning team in 1992. He earned a professional contract with United and made his first-team debut in 1994. However, Casper struggled to break through under Sir Alex Ferguson and eventually transferred to Reading in 1998. Unfortunately, his career was cut short by a devastating double leg fracture in 1999, leading to his retirement the following year.
Despite his own footballing journey, Casper's son Charlie has chosen a different path. Born in 2005, Charlie Casper has been a part of Burnley's youth setup since the age of 12. He recently signed a professional contract with the club after excelling in their U21 team. Charlie, now 18, initially started as a midfielder but has transitioned to playing as a goalkeeper.
Impressing Vincent Kompany
Charlie Casper's talent has caught the eye of former Manchester City captain and four-time Premier League winner Vincent Kompany. The Belgian has fast-tracked Casper into Burnley's senior setup and regularly includes him on the first-team bench. While Charlie is yet to make his official debut, he has showcased his skills for the U21s and has received praise for his abilities.

A Legacy of Football
Football runs deep in the Casper family, with three generations having played the sport professionally. Charlie follows in the footsteps of his grandfather, Frank Casper, who played as a forward for Burnley and also managed the team. Chris Casper's own journey took him from Manchester United to coaching roles at various clubs before landing his current position as the director of football development at Salford City.
As Charlie Casper continues to develop his skills and make his own name in the world of football, his family legacy serves as a source of inspiration. With his level-headedness and dedication to the sport, Charlie has the potential to go far in his career as a goalkeeper.
