Marouane Fellaini, the former Manchester United star, is now unemployed after parting ways with Chinese side Shandong Taishan. Fellaini joined the club in 2019 and had a prosperous stint in the Far East.

During his time with Shandong, the 35-year-old midfielder won four trophies, including the league and cup double in 2021. The club also secured the Chinese FA Cup three years in a row from 2020-2022, with Fellaini's contributions making him a legend at the club.

Fans have expressed their admiration for Fellaini by creating tifo displays in honor of the Belgian midfielder. Fellaini bid an emotional farewell to the club, and a ceremony will be held by Shandong following their match on Saturday to pay tribute to the player.

Retirement Speculation

Shandong manager Choi Kang-hee initially suggested that Fellaini was considering retirement after leaving the club. However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the player's agent has denied these claims, and Fellaini is now actively searching for a new team.

Impressive Career

Prior to his move to China, Fellaini spent five-and-a-half years at Old Trafford, making 177 appearances for Manchester United. During his time with the Red Devils, he helped the team secure the FA Cup in 2016, followed by the Carabao Cup and Europa League in the subsequent year. Before his stint at Manchester United, Fellaini also made 177 appearances for Everton, where he became a cult figure known for his iconic afro and goal-scoring ability. He retired from international football in 2019 after earning 87 caps for Belgium.
