Former Championship Stars Could Challenge for Premier League Title, Say Fans

Jude Bellingham and Emi Martinez Among Championship Stars

Jude Bellingham and World Cup winner Emi Martinez were playing in the Championship in 2019 along with a host of other stars. Bellingham was enjoying his first year as a professional at Birmingham, while Martinez was on loan at Reading from Arsenal.

Majority of Championship Stars Now Represent England

Nine out of 11 players in the Championship all-star team from 2019 have gone on to represent their country. Martinez, who won the 2022 World Cup with Argentina, and Rico Henry, who has impressed in the Premier League with Brentford, are the only two players not to have represented England.

Chelsea Links in the Championship All-Star Team

Four players in the Championship all-star team have links to Chelsea. Reece James, Fikayo Tomori, Conor Gallagher, and Mason Mount were all on loan from Chelsea during the 2019 season. James is now Chelsea captain.

Fans Believe the All-Star Team Could Challenge for the Title

Fans have expressed their belief that the Championship all-star team from 2019 could challenge for the Premier League title if they were a team today. Some fans even suggested that the team could comfortably finish in the top four.
