Quique Sanchez Flores takes charge at Sevilla
Former Watford manager, Quique Sanchez Flores, has been appointed as the new manager of Sevilla, becoming the club's third boss of the season. Flores, who is known for his previous stints in England, takes over from José Luis Mendilibar and Diego Alonso.
Previous managerial experience
Flores managed Getafe in LaLiga before taking charge at Watford in 2015. During his first tenure at Watford, he led the team to the semi-finals of the FA Cup and achieved a midtable finish. However, he was dismissed in May 2016. He returned to the club in September 2019 but was sacked just two months later after securing only one victory.
Fans react on social media
Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Flores' appointment. One fan jokingly referenced his previous time at Watford, saying, "Sevilla three coaches a season - he should be used to it!" Another fan expressed excitement for the future, saying, "The Sevilla hot seat is getting plenty of action! Can't wait to see what Quique brings to the table. Exciting times ahead for the team!"
Sevilla's struggling season
Sevilla has had a disappointing season so far, with the club currently out of European competition and hovering near the relegation zone. Flores will be tasked with turning their fortunes around and guiding them to a more successful campaign.
