Fans Climbed Over Fences as Security Were Left Helpless

Video footage captured the moment fans climbed over fences in an attempt to reach the track. Despite the efforts of security personnel, who removed a ladder and forced people away, the breach raised concerns about the safety of the event.

Investigation Launched to Avoid a Repeat Scenario

The FIA will conduct a thorough investigation into the security breach to prevent a similar incident from occurring in the future. The Sao Paulo F1 Organisation (SPF1) has acknowledged that mistakes were made and will be assessing their security protocols.

Remediation Plan to be Presented by the End of January

SPF1 will present a remediation plan to the FIA by the end of January. This plan will outline steps to address the security shortcomings and ensure the safety of both drivers and spectators at future events. Additionally, the matter has been referred to the FIA's World Motor Sports Council for further investigation and potential penalties.
